Former USF basketball player Nina Pacholke dies at 27 – E! online

“My heart is broken into a million pieces and I know it will never be whole again,” she said. “One day the words will come to me. But now I know that she is no longer in pain, and I am grateful for that.”

In her message, she turned directly to Nina.

“I love you more than you could ever understand. You were my very best friend. My whole world,” she said. “I’m so sorry I couldn’t save you. Thank you for everything”.

Nina’s former team also shared a tribute on Twitter.

The Bulls are heartbroken to learn of the sudden loss of our beloved former teammate Nina Pacholke (2013-2016).” – USF Women’s Basketball Team wrote August 29th. “Our thoughts and prayers are with Nina and her family during this extremely difficult time.”
