The movie debuted to a variety of reviews from reviewers on April 5th, when it was first released. However, positive word-of-mouth persisted for weeks because of the positive trend in word-of-mouth. The expected amount is $1.022 billion, of which the overseas territories are responsible for $532.5 million. The movie now ranks as the tenth-highest-grossing animated movie of all time with this amount.

Additionally, after Spider-Man: No Way Home, Top Gun: Maverick, Jurassic World: Dominion, and Avatar: The Way Of Water, it is the fifth Hollywood movie to do so in the post-Covid era.
